The Sinnamahoning Volunteer fire Department was established in Sept 1957. Has been a volunteer service since then. We currently cover 600 square miles . We recently overcame differences and did a merger with Bucktail Volunteer Fire Dept that was located in Driftwood Pa. We are now one fire company with an ambulance service. We currently have 29 volunteers between EMT's and Fire Fighters & 3 junior fire fighters. We are always looking for new members to join our department to help serve and protect our community and surrounding areas. We work with neighboring fire companies for mutal aide. Throughout the year we do many volunteer activities such as standbys at the Annual Canoe Race, Fishing Derby, Snake Hunt, and Dog Sled race. We are a non profit organization. We are always willing to help in a non emergency issue as well as an emergency situation. Our members are always trying to continue to keep up on new training that comes avalible to us. We look forward to continuing our service to the area.
