Port Matilda EMS is a non-profit volunteer and career organization that provides Basic Life Support (BLS) emergency medical services to Port Matilda Borough, Halfmoon, Huston, Taylor, and Worth Townships, a section of Ferguson Township, and surrounding secondary coverage areas.

PMEMS has two fully equipped ambulances ready to respond to emergencies on a manpower available basis. The station, on High Street in the Port Matilda Borough, is located centrally within the primary coverage area. There is a crew on station twelve hours a day, with the remaining twelve hours covered by employees and by volunteers who respond from home.
